More than 50 Egyptian university students took a tour to the extract factory of a Chinese enterprise, Angel Yeast, in Beni Sweif, Egypt, on November 16.

The students, who major in Chinese across several universities in Egypt, paid a visit to learn more about Chinese biotechnology as well as the company culture.

Launched by the Chinese Bridge Club in Cairo, the activity serves to facilitate Egyptian students’ understanding of the development of Chinese companies and Chinese culture.

The students toured production facilities including the yeast workshop, packaging workshop, quality detection workshop and storage, to get an insight into the fully automated production process.

Representatives at Angel Yeast Egypt shared with the students their experience training in China, encouraging the students to work hard on Chinese language learning and to experience Chinese culture for themselves.

“One of the most important things I learned in Angel is the planning, not only for the current situation but for a long-term strategy. Success is not about reaching the summit, but maintaining it and helping others reach it,” said Mostafa Gomaa, an outstanding employee at Angel.

Angel Yeast Co., Ltd is the third largest yeast producer and exporter in the world. Angel Yeast Egypt was established in 2010, and currently has an annual production capacity of 40,000 tons of yeast products. Last year Angel Yeast Egypt recruited 886 local Egyptian employees.
