Korean Air launches Yichang-Seoul route

The inaugural flight of the Yichang-Seoul route, operated by Korean’s Jin Air, took off on April 2, strengthening economic ties, tourism, and cultural exchange between China and South Korea.

The first flight welcomed 182 passengers with nearly all seats sold, primarily by inbound tourists from South Korea.
Operating from April 2 to May 31, the route operates every Wednesday and Saturday using a Boeing 737-800.
Flight LJ881 departs Incheon International Airport at 20:55 pm and arrives at Yichang Sanxia Airport at 22:55 pm.
Flight LJ882, leaves Yichang Sanxia Airport at 23:55 pm, landing in Incheon at 01:40 am the next day.
Sanxia International Airport also maintains routes to Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Singapore, and Hong Kong, China.
The first quarter of this year has seen 32,300 passengers traveled through Sanxia Airport, a 27.6% increase over the same period last year. Among these, 19,000 were foreign nationals, accounting for 59% of total traffic, representing a 146.4% increase year-on-year.
