Yichang airport enters new flight season

The 2025 summer-autumn flight season will run from March 30 to October 25. Yichang Sanxia International Airport, in collaboration with 15 airlines, will operate 37 routes connecting 43 cities. Several updates have been made to the airport’s route network.

1. New Airline Addition
Tianjin Airlines has joined Yichang Sanxia International Airport, introducing multiple new routes, including Urumqi–Yichang–Shanghai Pudong and Tianjin–Yichang–Xiamen. Founded in 2009, Tianjin Airlines has a 15-year safety record and a fleet of 106 aircraft, including A330s, A320s, and E190s.

2. Increased Flight Frequency on Key Routes
To enhance connectivity, the airport is increasing flight frequencies on popular routes, ensuring comprehensive coverage throughout the day. Key updates include:
• At least three daily flights to Beijing (Capital and Daxing airports)
• Three daily flights to Shanghai
• Two daily flights to Guangzhou
• Three daily flights to Shenzhen.

3. Resumption of Tourist Routes
Flights to popular tourist destinations, including Sanya, Xiamen, and Nantong, will resume, providing travelers easy access to sunny beaches and vibrant cityscapes.

Additionally, international routes to Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Singapore will continue operating throughout the season. The Yichang–Seoul route is also set to resume at the start of the season.
