AI servers are crucial in cloud computing, processing large amounts of data and forming a key part of the artificial intelligence infrastructure. With high-performance computing capabilities, large storage capacity, and robust scalability and stability, they are primarily used for large-scale parallel computing, according to executives with Zhongke Xinhui.

As AI technology rapidly advances, the demand for AI servers has surged. In the second quarter of 2024, global server revenue reached US$45.42 billion, a 35 percent increase from the previous year, fueled by strong demand for AI servers.

"The graphics processing unit server has the advantages of high speed, high efficiency and low power consumption. It is widely used in many fields, such as medical care, finance and intelligent manufacturing,” said Chen Xiaoming, general manager of Zhongke Xinhui. “It will effectively promote Yichang's digital transformation and economic development, and drive chip and other related industries."

Currently, Yichang's computing power has reached 2,000 Pflops, according to the city's data bureau. By the end of this year, an integrated computing power infrastructure of more than 3,000 Pflops is expected to be completed, supported by local AI server production.

Zhongke Xinhui operates two AI server production lines with a daily capacity of 600 units and two desktop production lines capable of producing 1,000 units each day.
