Yichang has organized over 100 cultural events to embrace the upcoming Spring and Lantern Festivals. Highlights include the Spring Festival Gala, New Year Lantern Festival, and a spectacular fireworks display.
1.Cultural Experiences
The Yichang Spring Festival Gala is set to return on Little New Year, January 21, showcasing a vibrant lineup of performances, including songs, dances, traditional Chinese operas, and comedy sketches.

The Yichang Spring Festival Gala is set to return on Little New Year, January 21, showcasing a vibrant lineup of performances, including songs, dances, traditional Chinese operas, and comedy sketches.

From January 26 to February 12, the 2025 New Year Lantern Festival will transform Yichang Children's Park into a dazzling display of colorful lanterns. Visitors can immerse themselves in traditional cultural activities and Chinese culture.
The highlight of this year's celebration, the "Looking Forward to 2025" fireworks display, will light up Yichang City during the Lantern Festival with synchronized displays across multiple urban locations.
2.Artistic Events
During the Spring and Lantern Festivals, public cultural venues such as Yichang Mass Art Museum, Yichang Museum, Yichang Library, Yichang Art Museum, and Three Gorges Art Museum will remain open, offering a wide range of art exhibitions and painting displays.
The festive season also brings a variety of shows, such as the drama Three Gorges Grand Ceremony, the beloved children's play Adventures of Pinocchio, and the melodrama Great Magician, promising an enriching experience for locals and tourists of all ages.
3. Folk Activities
The 17th Yichang Xiling Temple Fair (January 16 to 24) promises a lively mix of cultural performances, folklore tours, a bustling cultural bazaar, and a vibrant Chinese costume parade. Shoppers can browse street stands for Spring Festival goods while soaking in the festive atmosphere.

Throughout Yichang, folk activities such as the Dragon and Lion Culture and Art Festival, Lantern Festival parties, and lantern riddle contests will add a joyful touch to the celebrations.
4. Sporting Fun
Yichang's ski resorts are ready to thrill winter sports enthusiasts.
At the Qu Yuan Hometown International Ski Resort Ice Carnival, visitors can enjoy unique attractions like penguin interactions.
The Xingshan Ice and Snow Tourism Festival promises a magical experience with a ski show, ice sculptures, and an ice lantern display.
Wufeng International Ski Resort will host creative events such as snow dragon boat racing, snow tug-of-war, and snow bowling.
Bailihuang Ski Resort features over 10 snow activities, including snowmobiling and snow tubing, with special areas for children to play in the snow.
