China's first electric floating garbage cleanup and transfer ship was launched in Yichang yesterday. It has a designed speed of 18 km/h and range of 160 km. It will be used to clean, receive and transfer floating garbage in the Three Gorges Reservoir area. It is equipped with 4,000 kWh container batteries and can cut 844.3 tons of carbon emissions per year.
