Electric buses powered by locally manufactured batteries

On December 28, seventy brand-new, fully electric BRT buses were officially delivered.

The delivery includes two bus models: the 10.5-meter standard bus and the 6.5-meter minibus. The minibus, newly introduced to Yichang's BRT system, is designed to enhance bus network coverage on narrow roads.

The delivered buses feature a battery system independently developed by CORNEX New Energy, characterized by high energy density, long lifespan, and low degradation. Together with an advanced battery management systems, these vehicles ensure stable performance in various environments, providing a range of no less than 400 kilometers even in extreme temperatures.

The delivered buses will soon be put into operation on routes such as B81, B616, B18, and Line 11.

The battery cells and battery management systems were fully produced at the Cornex's Yichang Plant, marking the first time that Yichang public transportation has utilized locally manufactured "smart" solutions.
