Yichang Sanxia International Airport will launch an international passenger route linking Yichang, Haikou, and Singapore on January 2, 2025. This makes Yichang the second city in Hubei Province with regular flights to Singapore.
Travelers between Yichang and Singapore will have their luggage sent directly to their final destination, eliminating the need to retrieve and recheck it at Haikou Airport.
Operated by Hainan Airlines, the new route will feature three round-trip flights weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The outbound flight will depart Yichang Sanxia International Airport at 8 pm, arriving at Singapore Changi Airport at 3:45 am. The return flight will leave Singapore at 4:50 am, arriving back in Yichang at 12:55 pm. Passengers should verify flight details through the booking system.
The Yichang-Haikou-Singapore route aims to capitalize on the open platform and favorable policies of the Haikou Free Trade Port. This initiative is expected to enhance the international passenger transport corridor to Southeast Asia, providing new opportunities for Yichang's export-oriented economy and cultural tourism sector.
