As snow falls in parts of Yichang, the city's ski season is about to begin. Five prominent ski resorts are preparing to welcome visitors, offering a wide range of experiences for winter sports enthusiasts and families.

Wufeng International Ski Resort
Wufeng International Ski Resort, located in Wantan Town, Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, will open on December 14. Situated at an altitude of 2,129 meters, the resort is a four-hour drive from downtown Yichang. It features an intermediate slope, a beginner slope, a practice area, and a 20,000-square-meter snow play zone. With a capacity of up to 6,000 visitors daily, Wufeng promises an exceptional winter experience.
Bailihuang Ski Resort, in Yiling District, just an hour from the city center, will open on December 20. Designed for both novice and intermediate skiers, the resort also offers a dedicated children's snow play area. It can accommodate between 1,200 and 1,500 visitors at a time. This season, Bailihuang is introducing special promotions, including free entry to the scenic area throughout the snow season and complimentary skiing for university students during the first ten days (excluding the New Year holiday) with valid identification.

With an average elevation of 1,300 meters, the resort offers an intermediate slope, two beginner slopes, a tubing slope, and a 30,000-square-meter snow play zone. It's a versatile destination for winter activities.
Three Gorges Yunxigu International Ski Resort is expected to open on December 18. Located in Shuiyuesi Town, Xingshan County, about two hours from Yichang, the resort features a 150,000-square-meter core area with five ski trails. Guests can also enjoy a variety of snow play options, including tubing and snowmobiling, ensuring entertainment for all ages.
Qu Yuan's Hometown International Ski Resort, in Maoping Town, Zigui County, just an hour from Yichang, will welcome visitors starting December 15. The resort offers an intermediate slope, a beginner slope, a tubing slope, and a 6,000-square-meter snow play zone. It can accommodate up to 2,000 guests, making it an ideal destination for family outings.
