Exploring the Enchantment of South America; Elevating the Essence of Jingchu Culture The 2024 “Seeing China · South America Hubei Media Week” is scheduled for mid-December in Brazil and Argentina

To actively serve the overall national diplomatic strategy, implement the significant consensus reached by the heads of state of China and Brazil, and China and Argentina in November, proactively participate in the joint construction of the “Belt and Road Initiative”, further deepen the mutual learning and exchange of civilizations, and effectively enhance the international communication capabilities of Hubei Province, the 2024 Seeing China · South America Hubei Media Week will be held in mid-December in three locations: São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, and Buenos Aires in Argentina.



Guided by the National Radio and Television Administration and the Hubei Provincial Government, the 2024 Seeing China · South America Hubei Media Week is co-organized by the Publicity Department of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee, the Hubei Provincial Radio and Television Bureau, with additional support from the Foreign Affairs Office of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee, Hubei Daily Media Group, Hubei Broadcasting and Television Station, Hubei Performing Arts Group, Hubei Yangtze River Film Group, Hubei Cultural Industry Development Investment Co., Ltd., Wuhan Broadcasting and Television Station, and Wuhan Publishing Group. During the event, activities such as the launch ceremony of the Portuguese-dubbed versions of Chinese audio-visual works like “To the Wonder” and “Dragon Boat” in Brazil, and the Hubei Province Radio and Television High-Quality Development Boutique Exhibition will be held. Additionally, multiple cooperation agreements will be signed with relevant institutions in Brazil and Argentina. The aim is to vigorously promote the splendid Jingchu culture and facilitate the global outreach of Chinese culture through diverse activities such as audio-visual broadcasts, cultural performances, exhibitions, and industry matchmaking discussions, thereby telling China’s stories well and spreading China’s voice effectively.
