The Hubei Tulaohan Ecological Agriculture Group, China’s largest orange vinegar producer, has recently installed 50 new fermentation tanks.

Constructed from food-grade fiberglass, these tanks are corrosion resistant and can be completely sealed. Each tank has a capacity of 60 tons of orange vinegar mash and is valued at approximately 150,000 yuan (US$20,714). These new tanks boosted the group's fermentation capacity by 3,000 tons.

Hubei Tulaohan now operates a total of 560 fermentation tanks on-site. Each tank contains orange vinegar mash worth around 7.2 million yuan, bringing the total value of the facility close to 4 billion yuan. The company has plans to build an additional 3,000 fermentation tanks, with an annual increase of 100 to 200 tanks. Once fully operational, this expansion will enable the storage of over 150,000 tons of orange vinegar.

The Tulaohan brand utilizes modern fermentation techniques, requiring five kilograms of oranges to produce one kilogram of vinegar. At full capacity, producing 150,000 tons of orange vinegar mash will consume 750,000 tons of honey oranges. Tulaohan is a leader in exporting to international markets, with products currently available in the United States, Canada, and Australia.
