Citrus export jumps by nearly 160% in first 10 months

From January to October, 26 companies in Yichang exported 139,500 tons of citrus fruit, marking a nearly 160 percent increase from the same period last year, according to the Yichang Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau.

The products are exported through ports like Khorgos, Manzhouli, and Shenzhen to countries including Canada, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, the UAE, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Yichang has eight national geographical indication products, including "Yichang Honey Orange" and "Zigui Navel Orange," as well as four China Well-known Trademarks, such as "Tulaohan" and "Qugu." Its citrus exports extend to over 20 countries across Europe, America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
