Yichang's Daohuaxiang Group has been recognized as one of China's top 500 private enterprises.
On October 12, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce released its 2024 list, ranking the liquor maker Daohuaxiang Group at 193rd. It is the only private company from Yichang to make the list.

By the end of 2023, China had more than 53 million registered private enterprises, making up 92.3 percent of the country's total market entities.
Private companies contributed 50 percent of China's total research and development investment and 70 percent of technological innovations.
The 500 enterprises on the list generated total revenue of 41.91 trillion yuan (US$5.93 trillion) in 2023, a 5.22 percent increase from the previous year.
