In recent years, Wufeng has introduced several tourism projects, created boutique study tour routes, and organized a series of summer activities with the aim of helping visitors beat the heat.
The Wufeng International Ski Resortlaunched a number of entertainment offerings, including a music festival, hot air balloon rides, and mountain all-terrain vehicle races.
Since June, the resort has attracted around 35,000 tourists, while the Yunding Hotel has received 6,300 visitors, boasting a remarkable 91% occupancy rate. Notably, 90% of guests have come from outside Yichang City, primarily from the cities of Jingzhou, Wuhan, Jingmen, and Changde.
The county has improved support facilities to meet the rising demands of consumers. They have built viewing platforms, consultation service stations, parking lots and other service facilities along the 150-kilometer ecological landscape corridor.
Wufeng’s influence is extending to surrounding rural areas. Many high-quality picking gardens, farmer’s family restaurants, B&Bs and campgrounds have been built to accommodate the rising demand of tourists. Currently, the county now has 637 farmer’s family restaurants and 145 B&Bs.
