2024 Chinese Library Annual Conference kicks off in Yichang

On September 11, the 2024 Chinese Library Annual Conference commenced in Yichang, marking the first time for the conference to be held in Hubei Province.

The Chinese Library Annual Conference is the highest-level annual event in the Chinese library community and plays a crucial role in promoting the theoretical research of library science and the development of librarianship.

During the 3-day conference, over 3,000 experts and scholars from libraries and related industries both domestically and internationally gather to share experiences and discuss development.

Simultaneously, the 2024 Chinese Library Exhibition is being held at the Yichang Olympic Center and is open to the public. The exhibition covers an area of about 10,000 square meters, with over 70 enterprises and institutions participating, including the National Library of China, Hubei Provincial Library, and Beijing Wanfang Data Co., Ltd. The exhibition highlights the remarkable achievements of the Chinese library industry by showcasing advancements in various areas, including contributions to public culture, intelligent library equipment, library information systems, smart reading initiatives, and digital libraries. Additionally, it will feature displays on ancient book preservation and historical printing techniques.
