Tourism promotion event attracts international travel agencies and partners

Yichang hosted its biggest annual tourism promotion event on Monday evening, drawing representatives from over a dozen countries and regions. During the event, two local companies signed contracts with international counterparts.
The event, titled "Splendid Three Gorges in Yichang," aimed to foster collaboration between Chinese and overseas tourism companies, with the goal of offering international travelers a memorable trip to Yichang.

Hubei Shunda International Travel Agency and Hubei Xiazhou International Travel Agency, both located in Yichang, have signed contracts with 10 overseas travel agencies. These agencies hail from France, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, China's Hong Kong, and Macau. The collaboration will focus on tourism market development, mutual passenger exchanges, and marketing and promotion efforts.

Yichang is considered a prime destination in China for its abundant tourism resources, showcasing natural beauty and cultural heritage. The city has prioritized four travel routes for foreign visitors, namely the Three Gorges Dam tour, the Three Gorges Tribe tour, the Yangtze River tour, and the Ba & Chu culture tour.

During the event, three representatives from overseas travel agencies and guests expressed their expectations to bring Yichang's rich history and vibrant culture to the world via pre-recorded video.

Li Liang Yi, president of Singapore-based China Express Travel (S) Pte Ltd., said: "I am currently planning with a number of local tourism enterprises to organize chartered flights and ships for tourists to come to Yichang. I hope to facilitate direct charter flights from Singapore to Yichang through my efforts."
