Three Gorges Project impresses Spanish delegation

A delegation from the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party visited Yichang from August 23 to 25. Led by Juan Lobato, a Spanish senator and the speaker of the Madrid parliament, the delegation consisted of young politicians from the party.
During their visit, the delegation toured the Three Gorges Dam, the Three Gorges Project Museum, and witnessed the process of a ship passing through the ship lift and sailing down the Yangtze River.
In Xujiachong Village, the delegation visited the local sewage treatment plant and met with village cadres to learn about the village's environmental protection initiatives.
They also enjoyed a Yangtze River Night Cruise Tour and were impressed by the Jinhu Wetland Park, the Yichang Museum, and the Yangtze River Protection Education Base.
“It's very important for us to come here to understand what you're doing and to realize that projects so enormous and important are possible to do. So, to come here is very inspiring to get it,” said Lobato.
