Yidu Job Fair Draws Thousands of Seekers

A bustling nighttime job fair in Yidu on August 20 drew over 8,000 job seekers eager to explore opportunities in various industries. At the fair, more than 1,800 job seekers secured preliminary work agreements.

Co-hosted by 11 counties and districts in the region, including Dangyang, Zhijiang, Songzi, Yidu, Dongbao, Jiangling, and Changyang, the fair featured over 3,500 job openings from 120 leading enterprises.

The fair offered a wide range of positions in sectors such as fine chemicals, biomedicine, equipment manufacturing, new energy, new materials, and cultural tourism.

Notable employers included Hubei Xingfa Chemicals Group, HEC's Yidu base, and Huayang Chemical.

HEC's Yidu base, which has a growing presence in the region, set up five recruitment booths that attracted a significant number of job seekers. Ye Meng, a recruitment staff member, noted that all branches of the company are hiring. "In addition to college graduates, we also offer positions for junior machine operators and skilled workers. We have received more than 100 applications so far," Ye said.

Chen Nianyang, a job hunter from Jingzhou, expressed her optimism about finding a suitable position in Yidu.

"Yidu is developing fast. There are many opportunities to choose from," she said.
