Over 800 runners competed in the 2024 Xingshan Zhaojun Wilderness Cool Hazelnut Grove Rural Running Competition this past Sunday. The event featured a variety of races, including 5km, 10km, and 21km options, with the 21km race split between men's and women's divisions.
Wang Yangxin from Yichang claimed victory in the men's 21km race, finishing with an impressive time of 1:14:03.
The course was designed to weave through several local landmarks, showcasing the town's rich ecological landscapes and natural beauty.
Situated at an average altitude of 1,300 meters, Zhenzi Town in Xingshan County boasts summer temperatures typically around 22°C, making it a sought-after destination for tourists looking to escape the heat.
