GAC Yichang Plant Sees Significant H1 Growth in Production and Exports

In the first half of 2024, the GAC Yichang plant produced and sold 56,000 vehicles and 54,000 vehicles, respectively, representing year-on-year growth of 34% and 16%. Annual production is expected to exceed 120,000 vehicles.
Furthermore, the plant experienced a significant increase in exports, driven by its role as the mother plant, serving as a model for establishing research, development, and production systems for overseas factories, including the new Malaysian facility.
According to Liang Weibiao, the general manager of the Yichang branch, the plant exported 2,200 vehicles in the first half of the year, surpassing last year's total of 13,000. Liang stated, "We are aiming to achieve an annual export target of 40,000 vehicles."
