The group embarked on a Yangtze River cruise, where they observed firsthand how the ship locks in the Gezhouba Dam lift massive vessels for passage.

At the Three Gorges Dam, they explored the Three Gorges Project Museum and learned about the history of the Three Gorges Project as well as the positive changes it brought to the area.

While visiting the BRT lines, they observed how the new bus system is easing traffic congestion in Yichang and making the daily commute easier for locals.

R.M.P. Rathnayake, leader of the AIIB Board delegation and a board member of AIIB, said that the tour would help other member nations learn from China's development experiences. The AIIB will continue to explore international financial cooperation with China with the goal of further developing more high-quality projects.
