Recently, the first mainland tour group utilizing the " Fly-via-Zhuhai-HK " service departed from Yichang Sanxia International Airport.

The tour group bound for Thailand began its journey at Yichang Sanxia International Airport, flying to Zhuhai Jinwan Airport.

In Zhuhai, the tour group was able to purchase the "Fly-via-Zhuhai-HK" tickets at the Hong Kong International Airport Check-in Service center, located inside the HZMB(Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge) Zhuhai Port.

The tickets would allow them to complete departure, customs clearance, baggage drop, and check-in procedures all at once at the port, then take the transfer coach to arrive at the SkyPier Terminal of Hong Kong International Airport via the HZMB.

The transfer coach will take travelers from Zhuhai to Hong Kong International Airport via the Hong Kong – Zhuhai – Macau Bridge.
Upon arrival at Terminal 1 of Hong Kong International Airport, the tour group boarded their flight to Thailand without needing any transfer procedures, or entry into Hong Kong, or luggage collection.

The "Fly-via-Zhuhai-HK" service, commenced on December 12 last year, enables seamless "air-land-air" international transfer. It allows domestic travelers to fly from a domestic airport to Zhuhai Airport, cross the HZMB to Hong Kong International Airport, and then continue to an international destination. Conversely, international travelers can use this route to enter China by flying to Hong Kong International Airport, crossing the HZMB to Zhuhai Airport, and then flying to their domestic destination.

This route leverages the extensive international network of Hong Kong International Airport, which offers direct flights to nearly 200 international destinations, and the domestic network of Zhuhai Airport, which features nearly 80 mainland routes. By capitalizing on the strategic location of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, this initiative fosters deeper integration and development of the tourism industry within the Greater Bay Area.
