The first phase of the Jiahai-Yichang Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park is almost complete and will be operational in October. The park, located in the Wujiagang Industrial Park, focuses on intelligent manufacturing, electronic information, and other industries. The first phase covers 110,000 square meters and was initiated in July 2023 with a total investment of approximately 1 billion yuan (US$138 million).
Construction of the 10 buildings in the first phase has been completed, and the 13 buildings in the second phase have commenced construction, expected to be finished by the end of this year.
Once fully developed, the project will create over 3,000 jobs for more than 80 enterprises, generating an annual output value of 1.2 billion yuan.
"The industrial park will be based on the equipment manufacturing and bio-food industry clusters in Wujiagang District and will carry out investment promotion for the front-end, middle-end, and back-end segments," said Li Bin, the project manager.
Jiahai Industrial Development Group has established about 30 industrial parks in China. Currently, 12 relevant supporting enterprises have been recruited, according to Li.
The industrial park will establish three major platforms for support services, enterprise services, and industrial services. It will also provide comprehensive services to businesses, including talent recruitment, training, project declaration, marketing, and financial support.
