Yichang Cornex New Energy Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. added two new PACK module production lines on April 26, expected to boost its total annual capacity to nearly 8 GWh. This amount of electricity is enough to fully charge approximately 100,000 electric cars.

Located in Longquan Town, Yiling District, Yichang City, the new production lines are equipped with advanced robotic arm technology and can assemble as many as 13 battery cells into a pack within just 50 seconds.

The launch of these production lines is anticipated to increase profit margins by more than 8 percentage points.
The Yichang Cornex Lithium-ion Battery project boasts an investment of approximately 60 billion yuan (US$8.45 billion), with a planned capacity of 150 GWh. The facility primarily produces power batteries, energy storage batteries, and PACK modules, which are extensively used in passenger vehicles, construction machinery, and wind and solar energy storage systems.
