Yichang has implemented new standards for public toilets and plans to construct 16 additional family toilets to improve accessibility for children.

The government's initiative to create a child-friendly city includes the promotion of public facilities designed from a child's perspective, starting at "the height of one meter."
Currently, Yichang has a total of 222 public toilets, with 81 already featuring child-friendly bowls and sinks.
