Construction of Changyang East Station will begin in late 2024. The station, located in Duobaosi Village, Moshi Town, will serve as the junction between the Yichang-Fuling High-speed Railway and the Yichang-Changde High-speed Railway.

On April 8, the coordination center for high-speed railway construction in Changyang Tujia Autonomous County was established.

Construction of the Hubei sections of the two aforementioned high-speed railways commenced on December 28, 2023.

The Yichang-Fuling railway will pass through Yichang and the neighboring Enshi Tujia & Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hubei Province, ultimately extending to Fuling District in Chongqing Municipality. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2029 and will serve as a crucial east-west high-speed railway corridor connecting Hubei Province and the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle.

This rail line spans a distance of 468.5 kilometers, with approximately 140 kilometers passing through Wujiagang District, Dianjun District, Changyang Tujia Autonomous County, Yidu, and Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County in Yichang City.

With a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, it will primarily be used for long-distance passenger transportation.

The Yichang to Changde High-speed Railway originates in Yichang, traverses Jingzhou City, and terminates in Changde City, Hunan Province. Its completion is anticipated in 2027.
