Spring Employment Action to help locals find jobs

Yichang City has held 305 job fairs this year, with over 9,000 companies offering more than 40,000 jobs by the end of March.
 
Following the Lunar New Year, Yichang's economy continued to stabilize and grow, leading to stronger demand for new hires.

Yichang City held its first large-scale job fair on February 6.

During the Spring Employment Action, Yichang City implemented various measures to encourage talented individuals to find jobs or start businesses in their hometown.

The city's human resources department organized 157 training sessions on job-finding skills across different professions, attracting 3,423 participants.

The department also utilized online platforms, such as recruitment websites, short video platforms, and livestreaming, to promote job opportunities in Yichang.

Yichang also engaged in 78 labor cooperation activities with Chongqing and Guizhou provinces, as well as neighboring cities like Enshi and Jingzhou. Yichang organized 33 job fairs in these areas, offering 24,700 jobs and achieving employment intentions with 555 applicants.

Currently, 1,701 individuals have chosen to return to Yichang to start their own businesses, which would create 4,021 new jobs. Yichang has issued 2,890 new business start-up loans worth 1.166 billion yuan (US$164 million) so far.
