Runners complete marathon through sea of flowers in Yuan'an

The 2024 Yuan'an Marathon attracted nearly 10,000 runners on Sunday. The event offered various races, including a full marathon, half marathon, mini marathon, and family run. Liu Jun from Enshi, Hubei Province, won the men's full marathon with a time of 2:26; Xiong Binbin, also from Enshi, took the women's title in 2:52.02. The full marathon covers 42.195 km.
The Yuan'an Marathon, first held in 2016, showcases the county's ecological landscapes. The course starts at Taohuadao Park and takes runners through a greenway, tea gardens, and a sea of rapeseed flowers to highlight the natural beauty of the area.
