5G network covers all villages in Yichang

Yichang just achieved full coverage of 5G network in all villages on 12 March, taking lead in Hubei province.
In the provincial government work report released in January, Hubei province proposed to achieve full coverage of 5G network in all villages by the end of 2024.
To accelerate the 5G network construction in 1,343 administrative villages in Yichang, the Yichang branch of China Mobile Hubei began work in August 2021 and invested a total of 1.372 billion yuan (US$ 176 million).
Liu Chuanzhong, the company's network manager, said, "The network project builders thoroughly inspected these villages for two years and seven months and built more than 1,500 5G base stations. The average download rate of the wireless network has exceeded 200M, ensuring a smooth flow of information."
