Construction of the Zhijiang Yangtze River Bridge is currently underway. The contractor has employed numerous intelligent technologies and methods to expedite the project.

Two intelligent concrete pouring modules are being used to build the northern bridge tower of the Zhijiang Yangtze River Bridge.

The contractor has deployed two intelligent concrete pouring modules to construct the northern bridge tower. These modules, also known as "lifts," are responsible for pouring wet concrete, moistening the structure until it freezes, removing the formwork, and moving to the next level. All of these tasks are performed automatically by the machinery modules. In a three-hour working shift, the modules can climb 6 meters.

Additionally, at the construction site of the ramp on the northern bank, the contractor is using intelligent welding robots to build the reinforcing steel cages for the bridge ramp pillars. The robot is capable of cutting, bending, and then welding different types of reinforcing bars.

Underneath the bridge, there are numerous solar photovoltaic panels that form part of the smart solar energy maintenance system. This system is designed to regularly water the bridge deck's concrete.

The Zhijiang Yangtze River main bridge spans a length of 1,549 meters and is considered a crucial project for the expressway connecting Yichang's Dangyang to Jingzhou City's Songzi. The construction of the tower, reaching a height of 257.5 meters, is anticipated to be finished by the year-end.
