Yichang base included in national cold chain logistics network
A cold chain logistics park and a logistics company from Yichang City have just been included in a national cold chain logistic base list, according to a recent decision issued by China’s National Development and Reform Commission.
The list of National Backbone Cold Chain Logistics Bases included 24 bases across the country, with four from Central China. Yichang was the second city from Hubei Province which have a base included in this list after provincial capital Wuhan. This news further consolidated Yichang’s important position in China’s logistics industry, after it was acknowledged as China’s first batch of National Logistics Hub Port Cities in 2019.
Three Gorges Logistics Park and Three Gorges Yinling Cold Chain have jointed this application as one unit. Experts of the national reviewing panel was impressed by Yichang's advantages in location, industrial foundation, functional advantages, geographical reaches and amplifying capabilities.
After the backbone cold chain logistics base is completed, it will play an important role in improving Yichang’s cold chain logistics network, securing the daily supply of necessities for the region, and promoting the development of cold chain logistics and related industries.
