One hundred and twenty-eight Thai tourists landed at Yichang Three Gorges Airport on Sunday, the last day of 2023, ready to start their holiday.
Yichang is expecting 100 inbound chartered flights from Thailand in 2024.
The inaugural group trip will last four days. Tourists will take a cruise on the Yangtze River, taste Yichang Fatty Fish, and visit attractions including the Three Gorges Dam, Gezhou Dam, Xiling Gorge, Qu Yuan's Hometown and Bailihuang Scenic Area.
On July 13, 2023, Yichang became the second airport in Hubei Province to be fully opened to foreign countries. On September 20, Yichang opened its first direct flight to Bangkok, Thailand.
