Ministry approves four transport projects

The Ministry of Natural Resources has given the green light for the land needed for four major transport projects that run through Yichang. The three highways and the new high-speed railway will inject fresh momentum into regional development.
The Wuhan-Yichang section of the Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway project, which stretches 268 kilometers, will upgrade intercity connections between Wuhan, Xiaogan, Xiantao, Qianjiang, Jingzhou and Yichang.
The 54.4 kilometer Jingmen-Yichang section of the Wuhan-Chongqing Expressway will pass through Danyang, Zhijiang and Yiling in Yichang, as well as Shayang in Jingmen.
The 88.6 kilometer Yichang section of the Xiangyang-Yichang Expressway will go through Yuan’an, Dangyang and Yiling.
The Yichang-Changde High-speed Railway, designed for a top speed of 350 kilometers per hour, is part of the Hohhot-Nanning line. The 46.23 kilometer Yichang section is slated to pass through Wujiagang, Dianjun, Changyang and Yidu.
