Zhicheng Port to receive upgrades

Zhicheng Port, one of the key ports in Yichang, is accelerating its efforts to improve transshipment efficiency.
The port, connected to railways and waterways, is located in Yidu. There are plans to build four new 5,000-ton multi-purpose berths across several phases. In the initial phase, the first two berths will be completed with a designed annual cargo throughput of 2.54 million tons.
The equipment and auxiliary facilities of the first phase of the project have been installed and will soon be in full operation. Upon completion, this will greatly enhance the efficiency of intermodal transportation services.
