Jiuxitai Super Charging Station was put into operation on November 2. This is the first "super charging" comprehensive demonstration station in Yichang, which comes equipped with a rest area, an entertainment space, a dining zone and shops. It is invested and built by Yichang Power Supply Company of the State Grid.
The station covers 1,000 square meters and is located at the intersection of Chengdong Avenue and Zhongnan Road.
The station has 18 new charging piles, totaling 35 charging guns, including eight 120-KW DC piles and three 160-KW DC piles.
“Many of these piles are connected to a centralized management and control system,” said Xiang Kun, head of the company’s electric vehicle branch. Through the system, the power of the charging piles can be adjusted according to the demand of the vehicles, allowing each terminal to be controlled more precisely, maximizing the charging power.
The maximum output power of the super charging pile is 600 KW, which can provide charging service for new energy vehicles with the super-fast charging function. The charging efficiency is 10 times that of an ordinary charging pile.
