Fifteen projects worth a total of 10.6 billion yuan (US$1.45 billion) were signed at a recent business event presenting Yichang to Taiwan companies.
The majority of the deals signed at the Yichang session of the Hubei Wuhan & Taiwan Business Conference concerned the electronics and chemical industries as well as modern agriculture. More than 200 experts, scholars, entrepreneurs and guests from both sides of the Taiwan Strait were invited to attend the activities.
During the event, the guests also had the chance to visit local industrial parks, the Three Gorges Laboratory, Taiwan Industrial Park, the Three Gorges Relocated Village, Xujiachong Village and other places in Yichang. These excursions helped the visitors understand Yichang’s vision for its industrial future.
