Yichang's total foreign trade value rises 11.8% in H1

In the first half of this year, the total value of Yichang's foreign trade reached 20.13 billion yuan (US$2.81 billion), an increase of 11.8 percent year-on-year. 


In the first half of the year, the Three Gorges Logistics Park attributed to Yichang exports of 2.05 billion yuan, a four-fold increase. Yichang’s cross-border e-commerce pilot zone achieved foreign trade of 429 million yuan, an increase of 112.4 percent. Sixteen enterprises, including Angel Yeast, Yihua Group, Allmed Medical, and Qugu Foods, had a total of US$123 million in foreign trade value achieved by branches in outside provinces.

In terms of trade entities, in the first five months of the year, Yichang's private enterprises had foreign trade totaling 10.89 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23 percent and 69.4 percent of the total foreign trade value. Private enterprises have become the main contributor to foreign trade growth.

The total value of China's foreign trade in the first half of this year reached 20.1 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.1 percent year-on-year, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs.
