Zigui’s cool season kicks off

A series of activities including barbecue, camping and e-sports competitions brought a tourism boom to Zigui, as the 2023 Cool Season kicked off last night.


"The accommodation and entertainment facilities are complete here, including campsites, RVs, restaurants, bars, self-service barbecues, karaoke platforms, and convenience stores. The temperature here is only about 20℃, which is particularly comfortable." Zhao said she would ask her friends to come here again.

Summer tourism resources in Zigui are abundant. The Yangtze River passes through the mountainous county, bringing clean water and cool air. Zigui has 87 peaks above 1,000 meters with the highest peak, Yuntaihuang, reaching 2,057 meters above sea level.

Known as the "Roof Ridge" of Zigui, Yuntaihuang has an altitude above 1800 meters. In summer, the highest temperature here rarely reaches above 25℃, making it an ideal place for summer vacation.

The highest temperature of Dajinping rarely exceed 28℃ all year round. In summer flowers bloom everywhere, attracting tourists to the "sea of flowers on the clouds.”


With an average altitude of 1090 meters and 83% forest coverage, Moping Township is known as Zigui's "Tibet Plateau.” Abundant rare animal and plant resources can be found here, including precious tree species such as the thousand-year-old Ginkgo biloba and Dove Tree, and precious Chinese medicinal herbs like Ganoderma lucidum.




Zhilan Valley Scenic Area also boasts a cool summer with an average temperature of 21℃.
